Any rear sway bar thats already on a '64-'72 Pontiac A-Body should work. Pontiac didn't offer them as an option until '70 on the GTO's. Other A-body bars should interchange from the mid 60's on up to '72 as well. Might look at the new ones though as you can get the whole 1" rear sway bar kit with inserts to box your lower control arms, bolts, and the bar for about $90 from OPGI

https://www.opgi.com/GateGTO4.asp

(part number CH2232)

You'll probably find the junk yard parts to do the same won't run much less than that including boxing the lower control arms, which is a must to add a sway bar. Good luck on it, Rick

I think GM still sells the rear sway bar for about $60.00 new. The 78-87 G body cars also use the same rear sway bar.

I just got my rear bar this summer from the local GM dealer for $66.00 plus tax.

I think I still have the part number at home if anyone wants it.

I searched the local junk yards for one but they were all gone. I ended up ordering one (7/8" dia) from GMPartsDirect.com a couple weeks ago. $64 before handling and freight, $75 total. The part number is 394926.

If you order it from GM, the sway bar doesn't come with any hardware. As a matter of fact the DHL guy walked in and handed me the sway bar - it wasn't boxed, wrapped or anything. I ended up making my own shims out of appropriate width 1/8" steel stock and picked up some grade 8 washers, 3-1/2" grade 8 bolts and lock nuts at the hardware store.

I also used the boxed control arm conversion kit PY sells instead of finding or buying boxed arms. Everything fit like a glove. Aside from boxing the control arms, I had the sway bar installed in an hour.
