I have a 1976 Pontiac Catalina Safari with a 455... I want to lose the factory exhaust manifolds and their noisy heat riser valve. Are there any earlier exhaust manifolds or headers that will fit this vehicle.

Cheers,

I have manifolds off a '76 455 engine. I used the engine in a '73 and kept its manifolds. The '73 didn't have the heat riser feature. Instead, it had passages that are swept into a "Y" a little better at the outlet. That would probably improve flow a little bid. That might be a good way to go for your car. Probably has the outlet in the same location even.
