I'm starting to look around at different companies that offer lifts for Do It Yourselfers like myself. Can anyone recommend one of these companies? What are the important features I should be looking for in a home application. Any info appreciated. I have a one car garage under but also can set something up on a section of my driveway. Any info much appreciated. Dusty.

I like the twin post lifts as it gives you more room for tranny and exhaust work. Don't have to (jack) it up for a brake job either

I looked around for quite a long time before buying. I just bought the Eagle Equipment 4 post 7000lb lift. I bought it on eBay new from Eagle and saved a bundle. Got the deluxe version for $2666 including shipping 7000LB on eBay. It has the lightweight aluminum ramps, wheel kit so you can roll it around with or without a car and a jack tray so you can jack up your car on the lift. This seems to be the best lift company on the market from what I have learned from people I have talked to. They don’t sell the 7000lb lift on there web site just eBay. It only took Bill and I about 6 hours in blistering heat to put it together. It’s the best tool I have every purchased, wish I had done it years ago. Now I can throw away that stupid creeper!

Forgot to add the drip trays were included as well.

I realy like the 4 post with the casters. You can push the hoist and the car around the shop!
