1962 SD Catalina video
Nice video by Hemmings with Mike Musto about a 1962 SD421 Catalina, from the Gilmore Museum collection: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6a1DrAeybM

Of course as the owner of a 62 Catalina, I enjoyed that video very much. One thing I enjoy, not featured in the video, is the mechanical music running through the gears to the red line almost every time I take it out. Certainly understand not doing that in a museum car, borrowed for road test. Also, my car is not a rare, much more valuable real SD car. But very close in performance, look and content. Fun side note: Had my car in a local festival show a couple weeks ago. Over 1000 cars. Parked between a Mazda twin turbo FD RX7 on one side and a Cobra Kit car on the other. I don't think a single person under 50, even took a glance at the Catalina with the hood up and Bathtub intake. Over 50, they passed by the Mazda and spent allot of time under the hood of the Cat. The reality is all three cars probably had similar straight line acceleration numbers.

My GTO was on loan to the Gilmore for a couple years:

My first thought was "free, heated, secure, indoor storage!".
My motivation was less than pure. K
