I have owned that car for over 20 years. The Car was built by Bob Moore and Tim Kuschi. The motor they used was from the 1965 Don Gay AWB car. 421 on Nitro. Rescued the car from a owner that was going to install a big block Chevrolet .

Nashville, TN . 1960s. Nashville speedway.
Jimmy Griggs 709, Herb Lewis 707, and Crash Bond 42. Great racing back in the day. Mostly Hilborn fuel injected, roller crammed 327 Chevy small blocks the in light bodies, absolute rockets.

My Uncle's GTO. Maybe in the late 70s early 80s. May have been at either Oldsmar Drag strip or Sunshine Drag Strip.
400cu.in. Tri Power 4 Speed I think I remember he said it would go 12 flat or high 11s. |

Drove this up to New England Dragway......beat on it all night....then drove it home. Had a junk yard 454 and Turbo 400 ..paid 125.00 for it in 1978. Best ET was 12.69 @ 108.88....in 1979 ...not bad for a 23 year old kid back then. |

These cars would just sit outside in the parking lot out in the open, it was amazing. The guys would all talk w you or say hello it was pretty cool. No cubic dollars yet at that point. Might have been nascar but it's still a big part of why I'm into cars today. This probably would have been 1976- 1979 I'd guess.
