Yepper.
Just provides continuity thru it anyway. I'm kinda guessing it may be a pinched wire between there and the compressor coil??? |

Ok, unplugged the sensor and jumpered the wires, turned on blower and fuse instantly blew. So that shows sensor is not the problem if I understand...

Well, you could disc the compressor and try it again, or you could read that wire with a VOM to make sure it doesn't have continuity to ground while it's disconnected on both ends. That would be better than wasting another fuse.

I thought he has had the compressor disconnected this whole time. If not you are correct. I thought before that he didn't have a VOM, so a test light he could have lit up and wiggle the wire and see when or if it goes out.

With sensor jumpered and compressor disconnected the fuse still blows.
I do have a test light and will have a meter tomorrow. |

Take your test light and connect it to your positive and the other end in the sensor connector going to the compressor. Your test light should light up because of short to ground. start wiggling wire harness going from sensor to compressor and see if light goes out. If and once it does, check harness right at that point. Once you have a meter, you an ohm out the wire.

Ah ha.
Break it open at that engine line connector shown in the drawing, where ever that is. That will narrow down your search. |

Ok, if I’m doing this right I disconnect a small harness called the a/c compressor extension harness from the main under hood heat/ac harness. When pressed to the connector that goes to compressor the test light lights. The only thing this harness consists of is a 16 inch wire that goes to compressor, a very short ground, and a wire with inline fuse that goes to alternator. Wiggling the wire doesn’t change anything. This harness is brand new btw.

You must have the compressor disconnected also, if you do not the light will light due to the fact that the coil goes to ground on the other side of it.

With compressor unhooked. Nothing happens on the small harness. Connector at ambient switch lights with compressor hooked or unhooked.

Look at the end that plugs onto the compressor. Make sure there is nothing on the front side or the back side that is inside of it causing the two terminals to connect. I have seen strands of wire that haven't been completely crimped into the terminal and make contact between the 2 terminals.
Do this on both ends of the wire.
