I saw that same deal on a cast iron head (with low compression - high cc heads).
Distance from the bolt hole to the deck was close. He had gasket issues from the weak deck, lousy geometry of his valvetrain and needed custom pushrods, head bolts were too long and required washers, intake did not fit, etc, etc. Turned out it was a Chebby machinest who was doing him a favor with a Chebby type hop up. LOL! He wound up throwing away the heads. Tom V.
