Very curious on valve sizes they will use.
I'd guess HP peak around 7000 RPM with that cam. Agree with BES comment about .800 intake valve lift min. My stuff has .794 and .808 for 7000 RPM target. |

Got a bunch more questions to ask him, your making me think. they are super busy. So think best to e-mail let him take time answer me back. Yeah I’m likely stay with cam I have and go with 1.8 shaft rocker. 830 lift.

Your current combo makes 850hp correct? And you're thinking this combo will make 890-900?
Those heads alone cost $11k seems like an a lot of money just for 40-50hp?? |

It’ll make 100 more hp, your off a little on price their not $11 their $8000.00. Have 3 guys who want to buy old top end. Heads, intake, rocker shaft set up. So its more like a 3-$4000.00 investment. It’s jr decision not mine. He’s a high roller. LOL Hey if it keeps him from going BBC go for it.

I’ll help you out, so if your quote was 9500.00 with titanium valves, which is $1500.00 more then stainless steel valves and mine with stainless steel valves. Doesn’t the math work out to my $8000. Quote. Glad to help you out, I know it can be a little confusing.

Lou,
I take it these heads are going on an existing short block. Do your pistons have the valve pocket depth and radial clearance for the valve sizes in these heads? How about with increased rocker arm ratio? Stan PS Does anyone know if the valve center lines have been moved?

Shouldn’t be a problem, I’ve had set of heads with 1.8 rocker shaft and there was plenty of piston to valve clearance… cam was 856 lift. They were 65 cc chambers. Pistons have 16 cc dish and valve pockets are clearance for 2.300 valve. Of course I’ll double check everything.

The 2.350 valves are stated for their "Small Port Program" with 452 cfm @ 1.000" :
BES / Edelbrock Pontiac Victor Heads - Small Port Program https://www.besracing.com/racing-eng...elbrock-victor Same valves for the 480 cfm stated here in post #2 ? "The intake valves have also been moved away from the cylinder wall allowing for improved burn characteristics when used with larger than stock diameter valves." Also note different CFM numbers and valve angles here. https://butlerperformance.com/c-1234...nderheads.html .
