If we're talking big trucks, an 87 Chevy C60 I sold a few months ago. 350, with an Allison 4 speed auto.

Love those old firetrucks.....and military trucks.....and Pontiacs, too.....
Here's a pic of our 1962 Seagrave pumper truck.
Detroit Diesel 6/71 engine with only 18k miles. And one of our M923A2 trucks with only 22k miles. This was when a friend ran for office and we used it as a rolling-billboard. |

Awe, that ain't nothin'. How about my brothers 1943 Armoured Scout Car with .50 Cal up front and .30 Cal out back, both on a track so you can swing thm around. He drives this one regularly.
Then you have your 1 1/2 ton 6x6 troop carrier - which rides like it has no suspension, and his Half-track which does ride rather well. Then how about a Pettibone and the former P&W 60-ton crane my other brother uses on his railroad - changing out the "truck(wheels)" on his train. When was the last time you saw these jewels? |

We've got several other military vehicles.....
First one is an Alvis Saracen Armored Personnel Carrier. British-built and deployed in Northern Ireland. Rolls Royce straight 8 engine, 6-wheel-drive, 1.5" armor plate and a turret with a 1919, over-pressure NBC air filtering system, 55 gallon fuel capacity. Thirteen passenger, top speed about 35mph and the armor plate will stop a 50BMG.
Second is an Alvis Ferret Scout car. Daimler Benz 6-cylinder 4-wheel-drive, 3/4" armor-plate and a turret for a 1919 also. Four passenger and top speed around 60mph. Here are some pics of representative samples - all my pictures of ours are on an older hard drive that is not currently in a computer system and it's too dark tonight to get good images..... |

Out neighborhood usually has a parade on July 4th which would be perfect but that takes up a lot of real estate for 1-2 days a year.

You just have to be creative......
Parades / Parties:
President's Day MLK day St Patrick's Day Memorial Day July 4th Labor Day Halloween Veteran's Day Static Display / Advertising / Billboard for: Grand Opening of Businesses Anniversary Sales Trade Shows Conventions Political Campaigns Birthday Party Bachelor Party If the pumping mechanism is kept functional: Firefighting Heavy Equipment washing Car lot inventory wash Livestock watering Irrigation We bring our truck out of storage on NYE and 4th of July or whenever there is going to be a lot of fireworks - we have about 80 trees on our property. Luckily there is a fire hydrant right across the street and we have several hoses. It doesn't cost us anything to hook it up and just 'be ready'....... Sort of 'being prepared' like a Boy Scout, but we don't play with the BSA since they went full retard...... |
