is one rear main cap better than the other?
Here is a pic of 2 rear main caps. Don't know if one is better than the other. I think the top one takes the rubber seal while the bottom one takes the cork gasket. Thoughts?

Is one of the two caps for the block you want to use in your build?
If so, use that one. Same deal for the front cap. Tom V.

To further what Tom is driving towards, is if you use a main cap from another block, you will need to have a line bore done to make certain the mains are all lined up.

I would use the one that goes with the block.
If you chose the rubber seal style also use the 5-prong pan/seal. |
