Mr. Marcella : Is it fair to ask what power change would occur if you had coolant readings 60F higher? (115F-120F being 175-180F)

Prob make a little less but I push the car to the line and I go in the box less than 100* and finish the run about 135*. Just 1 more reason to push.

I agree with your second post too.
My point was, ET is what matters the most. The dyno is a tool to check progress, to help select shift points and converters with. I've seen many (chassis) dyno queens come to the track and get embarrassed by cars with less power @ the same weight. But I really wasn't trying to start a debate. |

lol! don't get too horny, theres at least 2-3 cars that show it on the track after battling with issues in the cars.
Theres only one sheet out there that i know of but it is shrouded in secret squirrel stuff.

John,
How do we know that that is not from one of Barry's FE's? On a serious note. Since you used Barry's dyno why does everyone says that you used a happy dyno? Stan

Back when the motor was a 481 I dynoed at Holbrooks, at that time his pump was happy. Now he has got new everything and its far from happy. The 521 was dyned a Berry's cuz he and I are friends and he hooked me up, I was on that pump for a wile. That cell has lots of potential to be bad azz.

I do not not know who's calculators you are using? But if you are using the ones on my web site, they are not correct at the et and speed that you are running. They show to much HP. They were put on the web page in 1997 and for slower cars are not that far off based on a very old and very simple formulas. An NHRA Pro Stock at 2350 lbs at around DA = 0 runs around 6.44 et and 214.x MPH. That is around 1480 HP. What does the calculator or slide rule you use show for their HP? Stan

Well its not eheads, just mild pump gas motor with tigers. Its also a chassis dyno which nobody here likes either. I am posting this as a stall tactic while the eheads guys start to scramble like frantic squirrls in the middle of oncomimg traffic, looking for the 1000+ dyno sheets. I think the CV-1 crowd is starting to crack a smile.
