My Pontiac G8, and 2005 GTO.
Hey guys, I'm new here. Had a 2005 GTO, and now a 2008 G8 GT. I know how most feel about the GTO. I did love the car, however. It brought me to learn and respect the real old school GTOs. Now I go to car shows whenever I can. They both have a few bolt on mods. I know how most real Pontiac guys fell about the GTO, but how about the G8? Grocery getter? Family car? Lets hear it?

The G8 was a fantastic car. In usual GM fashion, when they get a product right, they discontinue the model, or the entire division in this sad case.

Thank you guys. I'm loving some of the rides I see on this page. I actually recently sold the GTO, and I do miss it. It's a very different car then the G8, but I love this G8 too, and it's only a couple tenths slower then the GTO was, so it's still fun. Thanks again for the welcome.

Welcome to the board. I am a big fan of the 06 GTO and the 08 and 09 G8. I owned both the G8 GT and a GXP. Sold the GXP and kept the GT which is now my wife's daily driver. Pontiac/Holden hit a home run with the G8 - too bad that GM gave them the ax.
