Reproduction or Original Floor Mats
Do reproduction mats come with the cut out instructions and original part numbers embossed on the underside? What characteristics destinguish original floor mats from a good reproduction?

No cutting needed on the black 66' set I bought earlyer this year.
The embossing was marginal. But looked decent enough for the cost. My NOS mats are far nicer then the re-poped. But with the re-pop you don't care about messing them up. No Pt#s and the back side isn't like the oem, but who's going to see it

Jeff, if he is talking about the back mats also,I recall that repops do show where they have to be trimmed to fit. I forget if they have a template or are marked on the back, like original .
I just went out and looked at my NOS 64-65 White back mats. They are marked for trimming.1) first designation is for Tempest w/bucket seats 2) Pontiac w/bucket seats, the opposite side is designated, but already precut ,and the precut doesn't follow the lines molded into the back for cutting. Larry B.
