Vacuum Pump Mandrel Drive
Good day all,
I've done a little web searching and haven't yet found what I'm looking for. Perhaps someone here has already dealt with this. I have a vacuum pump and crank mandrel for the belt drive. The pulley on the crank slides on (semi-press fit) using a woodruff key and set screw. It works well enough but makes is a real pain to try to roll the motor over by hand as there are no provisions for a nut or socket on the end. I'm curious if anyone has found a mandrel which incorporates a nut or hex head on the end so that you can turn the motor over with hand tools rather than taking it all apart to get at the crank bolt. I know it's possible to bump the motor over with the starter but I'm hoping for something a bit more precises. Thanks in advance.
