Default 301 Turbo on other engines

I found a rebuilt factory T/A turbo for too good of a price to pass up. Seems like it’s in really good shape, seller claimed it had zero miles.

Main question: has anyone ever ran one in a draw-thru setup, but not in a factory configuration? Seems like the turbo qjet and adaptor are expensive and hard to find.

I was thinking of fabbing up an inlet adaptor for a holley, and running it on an old straight 6, perhaps even on my 326. Do you need to modify the carb to work for a draw-thru setup?

I suppose it could be run in a blow thru setup as well.

Is the juice even worth the squeeze? Or should I just sell it to someone with a Turbo T/A?
