Default Shocks and bushings

About 25 years ago I bought and replaced all body bushing had a arm bushings repressed with new ones. Leave spring bushings and never did my shocks. I want to know if the bushings go bad and what is a good quality shock. I prefer better than stock if possible not really into nos shocks. I seen blue ones on ebay but I don't want old Crusty ones. I want to good ones to.handle corners good. Also any thoughts on recommended brake cylinder. They probably dried up too. Probably original but should I just go to autozone for those. I need advice on breaking system too. I'm planning on draining the lines and running a brake cleaner solution through lines with an old fuel pump then blowing it out with air compressor. With carb cleaner work for this? I decided to have original brake booster restored and master cylinder labeled eb. Too thank for advice. I'll probably send next month
