Well I’ve been saving for the paint work but I had a setback. I had a crown which cost me 1500 bucks and now I have to have a root canal on the same tooth. I am still leaning towards Maaco but I do have a guy coming tomorrow to give me an estimate. He only gets business by word of mouth and his shop looks immaculate. He did a friends 55 Chevy for 8000 that turned out beautiful and I feel like it was in worse shape than my car. I am no Bodyman though.

Just wondering if you shopped around and got estimates on that crown. As someone with zero dental restoration experience, I feel qualified to comment on that price. That seems high to me for such a quick job. Maybe you could find a dentist who works on the side at home out his garage......
