71-72 convertible questions
I have a few questions regarding the Rally II wheels that were available on Lemans convertibles from 1971 - 1972.
In general, I think the GTOs coupes and hardtops came with 14x7s and the 15x7 wheels were an option. I think the Lemans came with 14x6 wheels. A friend told me he thought that you couldn't order a 15" wheel on a convertible because of differences in the rear wheel well. I have a 72 Lemans Sport with a 455HO 4-spd. It was missing the original wheels when I bought it. Would it have come with 14x6 or 14x7 Rally IIs. I have set aside a set of KRs for this car. Were the 15x7s even an option on this car?
