Default Speedometer Cable and Backup Light Harness

I connected the speedometer cable to the transmission (Muncie four speed) and plugged in the backuplight harness this weekend. Would have been much easier to do when the body was off the frame, but I didn't think about it then. I understand that the harness is held to the body of the transmission by clips, but what about the cable? It just seems to hang there and it looks like it could easily hit the exhaust pipe or get tangled in the clutch fork spring. Is there any kind of bracket that holds it to the floorboard? I see the two accelerator pedal bolts coming through the floorboard and it seems like a natural spot for a bracket to hold the cable away from all the stuff that could mess it up.
