I just converted my Firebird over to E85 with a kit from raceone85.com.It is a 8896 Dominator and the kit converts it to a two circut carb. The car fired right up and idled well after warm up and had good throttle response.I went to the track last night and the car went 9.93@136 off the trailer with a sloppy 1.46 60' in 2000'DA with 100GPP water grains. It was pretty lean with 99 square jets, went to 102 square and ran a 9.87 in worse air.The plugs still looked lean but I didn't have any bigger jets.Third run went 9.90,over reving the 1-2 shift(6800 ouch).I'm pleased and think there is more in it with jetting and timing, also the water grains were up to 115 on the last run.The intake is cool to the touch when the water is at 160*. I paid $2.10 a gal for e85 vs $8.00 gal gr 110 race gas and the car is about .10 and 1 + mph faster in equivalent weather.
