Met the guys from Dallas. Mike is a super nice guy.
The evening started a little tough for me. Fiancee had a car wreck, tow vehicle lost an alternator on the way to track.
After a roadside, auto-zone fix we finally made it to the track at 11:00!
The folks said the track wasn't working, so I made a test hit. Track was working just fine. BUT evidently the Pontiac looked too good. Whatever that means.
Suddenly, I had no race with a Chevelle, the Fogger equipped 56 didn't want to run (offered to go my motor to his spray) and Unc said I had him covered.
So after a little frustration and my crew almost beating me for no race, we agreed to a $50.00 race with Unc, he got lane choice and the rear wheel stage. Something went wrong with Unc's car and the race never happened.
Very disappointing, Unc was a nice guy and the Denton track is very nice but couldn't buy a damn race.
Oh well maybe some other time!
