Went to put my E heads on the 475 tonight. I only had one 1016 Felpro, so I thought I'd try the "Butler" gaskets that I had in stock. As I was slipping the head over the studs, I noticed the gasket actually is smaller than the bore by several thousands on the outside of the block, and has several thousands of gap on the intake side.
The bore size is 4.215.

1. I figured I shouldn't use these gaskets, Comments?
2. Could my "Bore job" be off?
3. What is the advertised max bore size for the Butler gasket??

BTW, Block is zero decked. This is not a "new" build, just a freshen up. 1016's have worked fine for years.

Thx, Bill
