What is the best exhaust gasket. Factory RAIII manifolds. Leaking withe old metal gaskets. What should I get?

High temp silicone on the mating surfaces, let it skin over for 15-20 minutes, and assemble. Let it sit overnight before starting it. There are a ton of racers that only use RTV on their headers, and no gasket.
I've seen it repair turbochargers, so if it can stop a turbo from leaking it can surely fix naturally aspirated. I used it on a set of Hooker header gaskets installed in 1989, still not leaking 33 years later. |
