need help measuring length of trunk weatherstrip for 73-77 A body (LeMans, etc)
I'm trying to solve a riddle. Can someone measure from point A to point A the length of the weatherstrip channel, I just need to know how long the weatherstrip would be. Thanks Super Friends!

I don't have a measurement, but you can arrive at the number with a piece of string if you lay it out in the channel. Also, IIRC the weatherstripping tends to come long and gets cut by the installer to ensure a perfect fit.

Why do you want to measure. They always send a little too much. Find the middle of the strip and start it in the middle of the trunk lip, by the back wondow. Insert it in the lip, all the way around on both sides being careful not to pull it (stretch). The two ends will meet in the middle by the bumper. With a sharp razor, cut both ends and cement the two ends together.
