Gaydosh build soon to be dynoed!
Jack Gaydosh just finished installing the E-heads and port matching the RPM intake. It will go on the dyno within a week or two using an 850 DP and headers. The detail of the combo is in my signature - compression is at about 10.41. Any guesses on HP and TQ?

We've built and dyno'd 455's quite a few with ported aluminum "D" ports and the larger Old Faithful cam, but not with the Stumpuller.
I'll still take a stab at it. It should make around 535hp and at least 575tq......Cliff

It'll be dynoed with an 850 DP and headers. I realize that once it's in the car with FI and LB manifolds I will leave some ponies on the table...

I just based the numbers on what we've done on the dyno we use. Another dyno may be more generous.
With 260cfm aluminum "D" ports and 230/236 cam (not the SP) we saw 514hp/567tq. With 295cfm aluminum "D" ports and 236/245/112 OF cam 552hp/604tq. So it should fall somewhere in between those two builds if on the same dyno we use, but for sure there are a lot of variable and the heads are Edelbrock, we used KRE heads for the ones we've done here.......Cliff

Do you think there would be a difference on the same engine if it had 290 cfm "E" heads or 290 cfm KRE heads? Stan

Mine with 295 KRE d-ports and Stump puller Made 512 hp and 572 tq with the over sized RARE LB in place. Car is almost too tame. Idles at 600 with 15" vacc.

I certainly hope it makes at least 514hp as we made that with unported KRE aluminum "D" ports at about the same compression, and a custom ground HR cam with 230/242/112 specs.
We've also built several with flat cams that had 230 @ ,050" duration and all made between 494 and 505hp also using unported 85cc KRE aluminum "D" ports......Cliff

My 310 E heads made about 625 hp with a solid roller. When I installed the Old Faithful, HP dropped to about 550. More air flow capability anywhere alone wont make more HP. If it does, it was the weak link. My opinion is that with the stump puller you won't make any more HP then you would with the out of the box heads. The stump puller will be the weak link.
I would be very surprised if you hit 520. My guess is that you'll see 515 hp and start dropping of at 5800 rpm. |

I'm guessing 525/575. I know the heads are overkill for the cam but the cost to get the porting upfront was a no brainer should I want to upgrade the cam later.

Guess it depends on the dyno, and dyno software used too. The Depac that I am used to generally gives lower numbers than Superflow, and DTS dyno's do.

Unported KRE heads here & "041" type cam...
http://www.pontiacstreetperformance....d455MikeG.html (dyno sheet attached within link ) 502 hp at 5300 rpm. Generous dyno according to some. .
