Would you run this
I have some casting porosity on one cylinder. Would you run this like that. All Pontiac block bore is 4.350. thanks

What stroke and rod length you planning to run Carl? That would determine how far down the piston and rings will be pulled.

Not if the rings will be in contact with it.

I would run it. I would lightly hand sand with 600 grit just the edges of the pits. At the bottom of the bore it'll trap a little oil, but should be swept away long before tdc.

Have run worse rust pitting than that in a circle track engine with no ill effects, run it.

If that is a bore and on the ring path no. If on the skirt path yes. If it's something else?

How rusty on other side? I see rust shadows around the area. Could be weak there. If you have to sleeve I dont think you can get to same bore size.

Yes this is the bottom of cylinder bore. I'm going to check make sure rings are not sweeping by this. thanks for a reply's.
