7 volt bulb in 12 volt system
Have a peterbilt truck that I haul my Pontiacs with. Different size gauges and to get the same brightness have to run a 7v bulb #55 in two of them. Problem is they don't last long. Can I put something in the line ? Help Thanks Can't come up with a 12v that's as bright as the other 14 gauges.

Put two of the samebulbs in series in the gauge.

Does it matter where? All the gauges have the bulb in the top center.

If you can add it to the gauge, the xtra bulb will add light and since they'll be in series, each will get half of the 14V charging voltage, just where they were designed to live.
