'66 2+2 A/C Dash Pad -- where did the repro guys go?
About a year ago, there was a thread about some Sweedish guys who were doing the pads for '66's, which looked A -amaz-a-zing.
Are they still in business, and where can I get one? Unless someone had a dark red one for sale... BOB |

New Dash Pad
Hi Bob
Did you get in contact with the company that does the dash pads? I have two 66 full size dash pads with A/C that I need to have redone. Has anyone on PY used this company? They did look terrific. Ron

Repro Dash Pads
I've tried twice to get in touch with this company, but as of today I haven't received a reply.
I have 2 66 Full size Pontiac's, both with A/C that need new dash pads. Has anyone had any luck contacting them? Ron

If it is of any use to you, there is a company here in Melbourne that does EXCELLENT work. Factory quality. I had a badly cracked dash in a Mercedes 230CE, had it reskinned and I was staggered at how good it was. That was about 6 years back. Cost about $300 if I recall correctly. If I can assist anyone with this, I'm happy to help out. Ian Here's the link: http://dashboarddoctor.com.au//index.html

I have used Dash Specialists in Medford, OR for my dash pad restos. They did a 66 2+2 A/C dash pad for me years ago. I just had them do my 62 and I am happy with it. I asked him how much for a 66 with a/c and he said $650. I have attached a couple of pics. Now, I will say, when I looked at my 66 compared to one Just Dashes did, I will have to admit, the Just Dashes one was a bit better, but honestly, my 2+2 took first place trophies home all the time. I also am really happy with my 62. FYI: It isn't fully installed yet, its just sitting there. These things were absolute toast when I sent them in. I can hardly believe there are craftsmen out there who can bring these things back to life. Good luck with your resto.

Do you have a link for them?
Price definitely seems reasonable. Thanks, Ron

Ron, no link available that I know of. Their number is 541-776-0040. With shipping time, turn around was about 5 weeks. The guy I spoke with is named Dean. Easy for me to remember. Good luck to you.
