Summit 3" Firebird system. Anyone tried one?
So my plan for my '77 T/A is to use the PY 2.5" downpipe for standard manifolds then use this system with a 2 chamber Flow. Has anyone used one? Its a "universal" style but looks fairly decent. I want 3" more for the sound and appearance than anything else. Going to use the car for a driver and weekend cruiser. Just looking for some feedback. I have alot to purchase for the car to get it where I want it so I'm trying to budget myself and if this will fit it will get me just what I want.

no comment on your question but you may get tired of the sound with 2 chamber muffs and 3" out.

I agree, I had a 3" system on my 12 second TA. It got annoying quick!

A 3" system with stock type manifolds will kill the low end torque with no benefit in the higher rpms over a 2.5" all the way back. The 2.5" will also be plenty loud and much easier to ensure fitment. If you want the 3" look put on some larger tips.
