It's the start of the race season. I'm ready to go to the track for the first time this year.
I go out to get my trailer and some sorry SOB stole it over the weekend. Cut the chain with a hacksaw. If there's one thing the world could do without. It's sorry ass, good for nothing thieves. I'm sure it will not be recovered. The working guy gets it again.
Thanks for letting me vent.
Tom.

Truly sorry to hear about your loss.

Would publicizing any identifying info help?

Do you have some kind of hidden serial number or something to positively ID it in case it's recovered??

Probably stupid ideas, just trying to help. Matt

P.S. Tom V. had the right idea, just add some Honey to their "shortcomings".

I had the entire soft top of my jeep stolen at the beginning of the winter, had to use the summer top and duct tape to keep me from freezing, and I thought that was rough. For about a week,I wanted to find those punks and wreak havoc on them with a ballbat. I can only imagine what you guys are going through. especially that guy who's goat got stolen.

Tom. Regret hearing of your loss. Being it is TX trailer & tagged, I would bet it has a manufacturer's serial # stamped into the rails for title purposes. If it is recovered this will help in ID'ing it. If it is custom trailer with special features, might post several pics, I will keep my eyes open this side of the Red River.

Forget the ropes and branding irons . I would like to catch them !@#$% then open the drivers door , insert the hands on the lock pillar and take turns with your buddies on who can slam the door the hardest ! After every bone is broken in their hands they won't be able to steal again .

OPH and the rest of the gang thanks for your concern. This was your basic 16ft' car hauler. Painted black I had the spare mounted on the tounge. It had a new jack, tires and floor. I have the title and the serial number was stamped on the frame. Keeps your eyes peeled.
Thanks Tom.

Good idea, Jim. After everyone has had a turn, roll up the windows with their hands inside the car, secure the window firmly on the bones of the forearm and drag them to the police station. "We caught them in the act, officer..."

"Let's Roll"...that's sad....been a few garage's broken into around here lately....I'm gonna do some battoning down of the hatches before they get me. Can't afford an alarm ... so some 4 inch steel tubing with a 4x4 slid in wiil door the trick for the doors...and some wire mesh on the window....but that only stops the amateurs...if they really want in they'd cut a hole in the wall....low life scum of the earth....sorry about your trailer...let's hope they find it.....Good Luck....

I am sorry to hear of your loss. It is bad enough to have paid for something that someone else feels they should have for free. It makes it even worse that you typically have no recourse or retribution, it is just a loss.

Man Tom, sorry to hear that. Maybe with a little luck they will get caught.

I know how frustrating it is. Several weeks ago I had my tools stolen out of my companies work van parked in my driveway. $1600 worth. $1200 mine and $400 companies. Lo an behold, I never thought it would happen, the police caught them a few days later trying to break into someone elses car. I guess it's a good thing I live in a small town, the police don't have anything else better to do. They recovered my bag of tools but they had already sold 2 battery drills and I just foud out yesterday they got a few other things out of the back. They tell me they are trying to track down the drills now. I sure could use the tools for work but they are being held for evidence and they don't know how long it will be before I get them back. I had to go out and buy a bare minumum of tools so I can work to put food on the table for my family. It really sucks not having all the right tools to make the job easier. I will get my moneys worth out of them one way or the other. The stealing of personal tools is like taking food right out my 4 year old daughters mouth and that doesn't go over too well. I'll try court first and if that don't work out we'll make a personal visit. Or maybe both.
