Just wondering who visits this board?
How about everyone listing the year, motor, trans, and other vital stats of their T/A?
Also leave a link to any web sites.
I have a 1978 T/A with a 400 running a Summit 272/282 cam ,'72 intake, Summit headers, Turbo 350 (soon to be 200-4r), and 3.23 gears.

I have a 1979 Tenth Aniversary Trans Am, completely stock, T/A 6.6, 4 speed, 44K miles. My mom owned the car from 1979 to 1989, I have owned it since.

My other one is a 1969 Trans Am, Ram Air IV, 4 speed, 99K original miles. I have owned this very car twice, from 1982 to 1987 and from 1998 to present. You can see a picture here http://www.spottsperformance.com/gallery2.htm

Its toward the bottom of the page. Paul has yet to put my name on it, but it is the only '69 T/A there.

I have to describe a "useta have". It was a '78 Gold Special Edition, W72 4-speed car with a 3.42 posi. The Q-Jet was reworked and the cat was bypassed. I didn't take it to the track, but from street comparisions it was probably about 14.4s at 95 mph. The drive train was stock. From a 30 mph roll it had a hard time pulling away from my '68 Catalina wagon. I built a 428 for that and added a '65 tri-power.

1980 Trans Am T-Top(Fisher)
Saved this one from junkyard. Co-worker caught it on fire trying to jump-start it. Fire Department put the fire out I bought it for 500.00 and and now i am trying to build a fire in it again! Out came the 301 and I am currently building a modified 400 in its place.

Username & Sig tell my story!

My car is in pieces but I hope get the resto back underway soon. Life has been getting in the way for about the last year. Goal for the car is to appear 100% stock but run quite a bit better!

Just like the name says, I've got my second 78 Gold SE. Sold my first one over 15 years ago after a deer demolished the front end one night. Always regretted selling it, finally found another Gold SE and rescued it out of this guy's field for $1000. It still has the gold t-tops,original windshield with the gold tint at the top,no tears or burns in the console or seats, and the guy even gave me the original 15x8 wheels with it(had them in boxes in his barn!). I'll have to replace the rear quarters, trunk floor, carpet, door panels, etc. Non-running when I got it, motor will get plenty of TLC from me, just now getting ready to start restoration on whole car. I'm looking forward to learning more from everybody online here at PY.com.

The "78 Ghost" name is from my PHS documented '78 T/A 6.6 no T tops. The car was all original in Jan. '01 when I got it with 51,000 miles. It is white with the light blue interior. The interior is original and the plastic was redone last summer. This is my driver and I drive it every week about 600 miles

It doesn't have any rust anywhere and is a truly great car to drive. Sporty with good power and gets about 22 MPG on the road.

Its a lightly optioned car with roll up windows, A/C, Cruise, and thats about all.

Pre-super tuneup, 16.6 at 91 MPH. -Matt

got two TAs now both second gen.

My 78 I bought new, ordered without the "bird" Fisher T tops electric windows.Ordered the WS6 package but was missed on the order, that has been added over the years.Alos missed the dealine for the TA 6.6 and the auto so had a 180 hp 400(I came across one of those I have also. Original interior, had to be repainted in 1988.Currently a E head 455 replaced the RAIV 400 that was in it. 81 rear disc rear 4.10s(replaced the 2.56s in the original rear).Stock mtor with the 2.56s could only pull 4000rpm in high gear, although was 130 on the roadrace course straight. Stock motor just got reassembled and put in the other TA project.11.70s@115 with a bad tranny.

81 Turbo TA -pulled half apart 301 turbo installed 78's stock motor with HO exhaust manifolds,Comp 262/270 Xtreme Energy cam, 73 455/SD Q jet. TH350. 3.08s rear discs. Alot of butchering throught the years getting put right. My 16 year old son is eyeballing for his driver.

78 TransAM, 400, auto with Hurst shift kit, Martinique Blue, blue vinyl interior, 15x10 Cragar SS rims on rear, 15x8 on front, Hurst t-tops, Heddman headers, Holley 650cfm spread bore carb

nice hole where the AC used to be (didn't work, and was in the way so i pulled it), and 2 missing chrome sail panel birds (somebody decided to steal em right off the side of the car a couple months ago)

I'll put some pics up on a webpage as soon as i take some and get my hands on a scanner.
