6,832 Mile 1972 Formula 455HO Survivor
My buddy just bought this car from the daughter of the original owner (her mother). We picked it up and took it to his place tonight. Never wrecked never repainted not hotrodded. Everything looks original. Adriatic Blue, auto, A/C.

Very nice! Thanks for sharing and showing the cool parts!
Certainly a loaded HO with goodies. Early build 11B car. Doesn't even have extra light on Speedo next to brake for seatbelt warning light later.. Does the tag say 24 24 Adriatic Blue upper and lower. Therefore, meaning vinyl roof added?

Very cool car. Too bad it had such a hard life for 6200 miles. This would be a cool addition to the MCACN barn finds display.
Good catch on the vinyl top question Mike. That might explain the missing trim. Also note the poly valance on an early car. A recent thread on FB stated that early ‘72 cars continued to receive the ‘71 metal valance which I had not heard before. |

Bob I was thinking exactly that about the valance

Congrats on the Formula!
Good looking car. Quote:
No, the 24 24 means it was all painted top and bottom with 24 color. If it had vinyl roof would be 24 A - letter for the vinyl color.

Forgot to ask, which way is the plug in the trunk facing with the center of it, up or down?

Isn't that what I said about the tag color?

Appears to be an early build and well optioned. Radiator clamps changed on such a low mileage car seems odd? Needs allot of tlc but would leave it in its survivor state personally. It boring looking at restored cars in my opinion. Nice find and many happy miles to the new owner. Cheers

great car but im going with 106k based on the wear on the brake pedal. no way you are going to get that much on 6k

I was thinking no way that it a 106,000 mile brake peddle. Lol

Seems too beat for 6800 miles, but too much originality for 106,800. Wonder if the odometer works?
Exhaust replaced, hose clamp at water neck, lots of dents and dings to body and wheel opening moldings, missing vinyl top molding. At the same time the seats look good and the poly valance is still alive. Cool car regardless. |

I think it’s closer to 6k than it is to 106.
