water pump pulley size ac vs non ac
trying to confirm what size the water pump pulleys are on mid to late 70's firebirds for a/c & non a/c. if it matters specifically 78-79 W72 400 cars.
i have 6.5" & 8" pulleys, which is which? |

ok thanks. thats what i thought but wanted to be sure.
i recall reading many years ago, possibly in a HPP mag, that a trick to increase coolant flow in non ac cars was to use a ac water pump pulley. |

Yep, I've been doing that for 35-40 years.
Not only moves the coolant faster, but also spins the clutch fan faster. |
