Griffin Radiator Group Purchase
Several months ago I started at Griffin Thermal Products in logistics. I've been talking to them about allowing a group purchase most of that time and finally sold them on it. Most of you know that Griffin makes first class aluminum radiators in the USA (Piedmont, SC) - these are hand made by Americans!
The group purchase is based on the following: - Minimum of 30 radiators sold - Deadline by November 30, 2010 - Applies to Pontiac cars - but I believe I can get some others approved as well - Radiators carry a two year warranty - Customer pays FedEX freight (ranges from $33. to $58.) from SC - Pricing:2-row 1 inch (cars up to 450 HP): $350.; 2-row 1.25 inch: $450. - Radiators will be constructed for your application. - Griffin has also agreed to throw in a new Griffin radiator cap with each radiator! - Griffin has agreed to provide similar discounts on polishing service, electric fans and aluminum electric fan shrouds with a radiator purchase. All purchases will be done directly through Griffin customer service, typical sales are done via credit card. Anyone that is interested should PM me - I will respond to any questions you might have concerning the group purchase - Griffin's tech guys will answer any of those questions. I'll provide those that want to move ahead with a purchase with the group purchase code for you to reference when placing your order. Hopefully this will be a successful group buy and we can do this several times a year.

I also put the word out with some of my Pontiac friends who are not on the forums but so far no takers. BTW, why the cut-off date at the end of the month? It may take a little longer to get to 30.

correct me if i'm wrong, but this is limited to american cars only, correct?
have you tried places like nastyz28, ford websites, pontiaczone, trans am country, buickforums, v8buick, etc.? not trying to make you do more work, just ideas on how to get the word out across many sites.

73 Trans Am, no AC, Auto
I looked up my radiator code (that needs the re-core). It is NOT the original radiator for my car. So, COUNT ME IN!
When will we know if this deal is a go?

Besides being the best aluminum raditor made in the states, they come with all the flanges to mount the factory shroud and it is just a drop in and bolt up.

64Leconvert:
I'm told atleast $100. more if you were to shop around and a dealer wanted to give one away. I couldn't find one for that when I surfed but some other guys may chime in here. I see that stucky2947 is about $200 more...................... old66tiger: I couldn't answer what the difference might be, but I'll ask our tech guys and see if they know. Will get back to u next week.

GTOLou:
You're number 7, that's not too bad for a few days! How hard could 30 be? LOL Especially when you consider they're allowing me to include other muscle cars as well. I can't believe that with all the guys on this board (ladies included), that we can't find 30 muscle car gear heads who want an aluminum radiator!

I could have used this offer about 3 years ago. I ended up with a Summit "direct fit". It's a nice piece and cools well, but I had to run the upper rad hose through a "new" hole in the factory shroud. The core's width is a few inches smaller, even though the brackets line up with the factory holes on the rad support.

Need a radiator for 73 TA
The radiator shop says it will be over $400 to recore my original radiator. What is the advantage of the Griffin radiator. My radiator is an odd size - 27.5" core height, the right side tank is 3.5" wide and the left is 2.75". It is a non-AC 73 Trans am. The parts tag says IA, AE, 171, FY. It is manufactured by Harrison. Can Griffith match this radiator with the correct overflow hose clamps, outlets, etc.?
