70 Manual brake master cylinder
Looking for a 70 manual brake master cylinder for my Formula. I believe that would be an FG Code, needs to be complete, with pushrod and rebuildable.

I might have one.
My 70 Formula was a manual disc brake car. I also took apart another 70 Formula that had a manual disc brake setup. I remember taking off the master cylinder, proportioning valve, and brake lines because I was thinking about installing the system on another bird I had. That car had a big cam, which caused vacuum issues with the power brakes. I tried to seal the openings to keep out air and moisture. I never used the setup, but I don't know where it is right now. My parts are all 150 miles away, I'll try to remember to look for it next time I go down. Mike |

Here is a pic. This was on a Formula I parted out. In fact its still on the subframe in my shed connected by the front brake lines and the hose holders. has the factory prop Valve.
Pushrod was hooked to the pedal assembly and doesnt get a second one like a Booster has. my rod got sold with the manual steering box. I drove the car 11 years ago and it had good brakes. Last edited by Formulabruce; 04-06-2018 at 01:46 AM. |
