Door cars in the 7's?
Curious how many Pontiac-powered door cars have made 7 second quarter-mile passes?
Interested also if if was accomplished N/A or power adder. And if we want to get feisty, what heads.

Marty had a Boosted DOOR CAR. It ran IN THE 6S (6.95) with cast iron #62 Heads in 1996! HE RAN 7.40s, in 1996, with the trans skipping second gear the whole run. Old History.

Marty was ahead of his time. Great work and 20 years ahead of his time. Very cool to see his car become the Crow.

Tom V. ps Marty owned a Buick Turbo Car at one point, was not his deal. Took some convincing by Tom Earhart and I that Turbos WAS the future. Once he was committed, he went in a big way.

Yes it is....supposedly it's the first Pontiac door car in the 7 and 6's. I'm not sure about the 7's but first in the 6's sound correct. Now it's really going to fly with a Pontiac engine in it.

So how do the guys with a
LSjuan usually get a free pass? LSjuan in a jellybean is no different than a Big Chief "Pontiac" in a real GTO right?

I still have the jelly bean. I can't complain about 24 mpg with the sir, cruise and stereo on while hitting high 11's on Big O's.
This is a new acquisition. |
