Ram Air Positive Battery Cable
Whats the difference between in positive battery cable in a car with ram air exhaust and non Ram air exhaust?

RAM AIR battery cable typically went from the battery to the front of the engine, snaked next to the engine mount and then went on to the power terminal on the solenoid.
Non RAM AIR battery cable typically went from the battery to a tube between the #5 and #7 cylinders exhaust ports and then down to the power terminal on the solenoid. RAM AIR cable was longer too. Tom V.

Was the end that bolted to the power terminal bent or L-shaped for the ram air application or straight like the regular type cable?

Not sure on the bent or straight solenoid end of the cable.
I always made my own "Ram Air" cables from fine multi-strand welding cable. I used the straight end as it was easier to remove the attaching nut on the solenoid vs a bent end. I had enough length that I could come downward to the solenoid. Tom V. PS the RA cable is longer vs the normal set-up.

Most all the factory cables had a 90° end with a locating lug on the solenoid end..

Left outI installed a set of Ram Air manifolds from R.A.R.E on my 66. 400 4 speed. The battery cable keeps shorting out on me with the reg length cable. I have the cable running in through the front of the engine with the heat tube mounted to the motor mount. I pulled the starter twice with evidence of it shorting out against the block once and the manifold the last time. Was wondering if a cable with the 90 degree end would solve my problem. Also, would the cable go through the heat tube with the 90 degree end? I do appreciated all the information recieved. Thanks alot guys.
