Does the buy it now price at $24,500.00 seem too good to be true on this Ram IV 70 GTO?

It does but the seller, sweetmuscle, is a pretty well known member here....so...maybe not.

I have dealt with and bought cars from him in the past, no issues, but I suggest you call him for any questions as he has the car.

A lot of watchers but I'm surprised it wasn't snapped up at that price.

Buy it, pull the motor, drop in some other 400 that's painted up nice and run it through an auction.

You'll be dollars plus a RAIV motor ahead when you're done.

I think what he's saying is that at such a good price, you could buy it, grab the RAIV motor and still re-sell it at that price, honestly, as a real RAIV Judge with incorrect engine.
In the meanwhile, you'd have a RAIV engine (which probably isn't original to the car anyway) on the stand in your garage.
Pretty good thinking. I'd consider it myself if it was a bit closer.

Sorry, missed the part about it not being a Judge. Not trying to answer for Boss but if I were going to do what he suggested, I'd yank the engine and sell the car as a true RAIV GTO.
Of course, you'd leave the VIN with the car. It would be a documented RAIV GTO with a standard 400 engine in place of the original.

First off, press the 'caps lock' before you type anything else.

The Boss did not imply anything about separating the VIN from the car. He did imply keeping the RAIV engine and selling the car, VIN and all, with a different engine. Nothing illegal or immoral. Just as Greg Reid said.

Joe, the tag work gets left to the METALFINISHER, I'd just yank the motor and sell it as a Judge clone with a RA IV PHS. I'm sure somebody at Mecum or BJ would pay 25k for that.

with all caps and no punctuation, your post are hard to read, so sadly a lot of people will just skip over them. could be the reason you don't get many answers.

I"m on the hunt for a car myself. I saw this one. Anyone know if it's good or too good to be true? My preference is 68-69, but a nice deal on a 70 is ok too.
