I have a set of #16 heads with a date code of J107 complete. What are they worth?
Thanks Jeff

Do they have screw in rocker arm studs?

In the area of $300 depending on condition for rebuildable cores.

Thanks for the reply. That gives me a good starting point. I have someone who wants them and I want to be fair. The heads are in really good shape ,redone around 10 years ago but probably only have 2500 miles on them.
Thanks Again

Good luck with them. I sold a set on CL after listing for months for $200. I had to guarantee them for 30 days. Iron heads are over, Aluminun are the desired pieces.

Some will still want them for a sleeper engine, they can easily be ported to match 'out of the box' aluminum heads. They're not over, they're just not as desired as in the past before there were so many great aluminum head choices. Got $375 for my last set of virgin, untouched, never rebuilt 1968 #16 heads. They didn't sell overnight but eventually the right buyer came along. If you're patient you can get decent money for them, if you're in a hurry then that's a different story. |
