In my original simulation's late last year I used 1315 N/A HP.

Based on "reading tea leafs" I will go with 1075 - 1100 HP N/A.

John,
I understand this is the internet. But lets keep it real, if the engine was built using a 5.3" bore spacing block and everything was NHRA Pro Stock state of the art technology it would not make that kind of HP.

LOL! great post john. There are so many 2000 hp na pontiac engines out there...

I don't know the size (cid) cam, intended rpm range, Amount on N2o usage it is being developed for, cross section of the heads, compression ratio, etc etc. so there is no way this could be estimated unless we just go with a WAG.

that said I'll play along....1150

missed the 541....staying at 1150

I never said Naturally Aspirated.

The ecm gurus were saying his car can't make any N/A power basically because his is a NOS combo.

So, if he can't make 2000 HP with his NOS setup it ain't worth the $$$$$$$$$$$ spent.

Heck anyone can make 1000 HP as they say, N/A.
I would think Jack made more than 1300 HP with NOS with the old heads.
(heck a lot are making more than that with normal Pontiac heads N/A)

These high falootin BBC heads should make considerably more.

John,
Even if Lil Jack's engine made 1300 N/A HP, that would mean he would have to spray 700 nitrous HP. I just do not see that happening.

I don't think any Pontiac motor EVER has made 2000hp with nitrous.... Or even come anywhere near it. If he can show 1500hp - 1600hp on the track he definitely has his chit together. (and would probably be the highest hp nitrous Pontiac ever) 2000hp is just a ridiculous expectation.

Btw it's his money to spend however he wishes. Cool chit costs money.

With jacks PRO MOD Heads and PRO MOD sheet metal two four barrel intake w/nitrous I'm thinking he better make a SH_T load more then he made before because he will have one BAD A$$ engine! He is the NEW BEAST of the EAST (out with the old and in with the new)!!

This car has "PRO MOD Heads and PRO MOD sheet metal two four barrel intake w/nitrous" (it runs 4s on a bad day.)

Don't think there is any comparison to Jack's stuff, except for maybe jealousy by some. It will be the "BEAST of the EAST", Agree George.

What's even funnier is an all out Warp 6 N/A motor doesn't show 1100 HP on the track

My E head 541 made 965 HP @7700 rpm. So I guess we will find out how much a Visner head with two fours 541 nitrous motor will make in a couple weeks. You would think a good 100-150 better, maybe.

My trusty calculator says…

150HP/$22,000.00=$146.6666667dollars/perhp.

I think Jack will surely see an increase in NA hp over his old Ehead comb. He should definitely make over 1000hp NA!

But on the other hand, Stan...How much HP is your new motor gonna make this year?

LOL,
Bryan

Bryan,
Please explain to me, what the relationship is between how N/A HP Lil Jack's engine will make and how much N/A HP I can make.

Mike,
Let get something straight. Lil Jack did not build that engine without a lot of help. You did not build your engine without a lot of help. So, yes the people who ported your heads and manifold and picked your cam and all of those other thing can build more HP than me.

lets get something else strait. If i ported my own heads and intake along with the rest that i do myself and you did a whole combo ( a real one) i would bury you on the Dyno and the track.

FOR REAL!

Glad we cleared that up!

It has about the same relationship as Jacks motor does to a pro stock motor, nothing. There is no reasonable expectation that it should be close to 1300 na, thats just silly.
