Anyone here watch Nicks Garage on YouTube?
I’ve watched a couple, of so.
He seems pretty knowledgeable, he’s a Mopar enthusiast... One “show” he’s dyno’n a 455 Pontiac with 2 AFB’s on it. There’s no drama or BS, just working on cars, mostly dyno work.

I've watched his show a couple of times. And yeah there are some pretty Mopars around here. I found one online a few years ago I'd love to have. But no idea where it's located or if it's even real... tho it sure looks real.
I'll share it.

He’s on my favorites list and I watch him regularly.
I love his dyno sessions. He’s run a Pontiac or two also.

I've been watching his channel for quite a while. He has a couple Pontiac engines in the shop now, and I think one is going on the dyno in the next week or two.

205 would be more like 13.9:1 (just divide by atmospheric if known or 14.7 if not..) & instant detonation on pump gas.
As am getting older am having mixed feelings about boost in a race engine. Do not care for on the street below 10,000 feet but a boosted engine has about the same chamber pressure/density as a very high compression engine but a boosted engine has a larger combustion chamber and a greater combustion volume than NA. Lotsa math computers are good at. |

That garage is just a few miles from my canadian home, while his videos are entertaining I've seen a few cars he's worked on and was very unimpressed. Sloppy work, with no attention to detail. Perhaps he is spending a bit to much time pointing a camera at himself instead of running his garage properly.

Today's video is a dyno test of a 389 out of a 1966 GTO. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sNvvDzVQbck He had some problems with the points ignition and the starter, but eventually got those things figured out.

He said he couldn't set the points, AND said the engine was built 10 years after he was born, making him about 64 years old. I'm thinking he couldn't see what he was doing with the distributor in the engine...I likely could not...

I've seen a couple of his videos;
For some reason I thought he was in Quebec... that just means North knows where he is. I cannot recall why or how I first came across his videos, but overall, I didn't particularly care for them - they're not bad, just not great.

He did perform the tip-in test on the 4 bbl 241 early hemi, surprised me. Of course, these videos are all made for internet viewing. I'd run nearly every engine from 2000-4000 on the first pull to see initial numbers He said he does NOT give out specific cam info on videos, it's his secret. I wonder if he uses any XE cams? I am impressed with the size of his shop, and the number of cars in it, man it's usually a tight squeeze. I like the fact that there's no made up BS going on constantly like the graveyard goobers perform (although I have not watched ANY TV since 2018) I like the fact that Nick seldom uses bad language, although when he couldn't get that Boss 302 started, he let some go, and they were bleeped out nicely...
