No Mercy 10 - Youmans
I know this was mentioned in the 7 Sec list tread but I think it deserves its own thread.
As said, he is racing in Pro 275 and just ripped off a 4.17@181 to be (currently) qualified 6th in a very competitive field. What’s equally amazing is that he was carrying the tires at 150’ and peddled because he was heading for the wall and still ran that time. Go Mr Youmans! |

He was overpowering the track the first couple of passes. Once he gets some seat time in that car it should move.
Even pedaling it he went 181.7

Nothing against Tommy, but if he decides to get out of Drag Racing he can always be in a cover band for ZZ Top.

Lol! When I first saw him I thought he was a ZZ top guy. Around 1990 there was an over the top early 70's purple'ish GTO around. It made a bunch of magazines and lost it's hood at Great Lakes Dragaway match racing Beswicks Pontiac powered Tempest. The rumour was the car had been built for a member of ZZ Top.

For a comparison the murder nova made 3200 @ 70 psi on wheel dyno. I estimate youmans combo to make every bit of that probably at lower boost.

Does anyone know what the 60 foot time was and what does it weigh? This is what I match up to @ 3000 pound I get well less than 3200 HP. I did see somewhere that it was said he has run a 4.0x.
60 Foot ET = 1.0965 330 Foot ET = 2.8127 1/8 Mile ET = 4.1760 1/8 Mile MPH = 181.7228 Stan
