Great bearings..... zero issues, have been using them for over 20 years in high horsepower power Chevy and Ford engines. I'm not sure if they offer them coated. We usually have Calico coat our bearings.

Not to be negative but 2 member on this site are not using them after buying them. The spec of the bearing are all over the place. Do a search to confirm.

Called King bearings, apparently the MB5511XP that is in their catalog isn't produced yet.

Default The new King MB5511XP main bearings are avilable

I just talked to AJ at King bearings and the MB5511HP is in stock (Bimetal up to 1200 Hp) and the new King main bearing MB5511XP (Trimetal coated) will be on the shelves next Tuesday.

For reference the Bimetal is better in some instances with methanol fuel compared to the Tri-metal.

We have been logging in Excel bearing clearances of blocks and bearings to 5 decimal places with Mitutoyo bore mic's and setting rings over the last several year or so. With that said it can take up to 2-3 sets of rod bearings to get a consistent set of "matched" bearings, again in our experience and our opinion.

The King and Speedpro bearings are the most consistent. The Kings are in our experience the most accurate.

As far as camsahft bearings the Durabond are the most consistent and most accurate. That is for a traditional Pontiac journal. Again our experience.

For 50 and 55 mm the other brands that we have measured and used are very accurate as well.
