Default '64 Bonneville package tray interchange with Grand Prix

Hi guys,

This might appear to be a simple one but is the package tray for a '63-'64 Grand Prix the same as for a '64 Bonneville?

I need a new one for my car. The regular suppliers all want nearly $1000 to send a tray to me in Australia, however I have found one supplier on eBay who will ship it for $55 but the tray is to fit a Grand Prix.

Will this work?

The Ames catalog has 3 different listings for 63-4s -- a 2 dr Hdtp, 4dr Hdtp and GP .. so that would indicate that they are not interchangeable..

Not sure if its depth or width thats the difference but someone might have the dimensions to see what might be done to make one fit. Unfortunately I cant
help as my 64 GP one was so rotted it came apart and my 64 Bonnie is a 'vert which doesnt have one to compare.

Good Luck

John

I don't know for sure, but I would assume the package trays are different. The 6'3-'64 GP had a different roof line and rear window than the Catalina or a Bonneville, so I think the package trays would be different too. If Ames has three different package trays, it's likely they're all different.

A Grand Prix package tray will not fit a Bonneville.

Here's one who sells 63-64 Bonneville trays on eBay, check it out how much the shipping for your location is:

They are different because the Grand Prix has a different roof line and rear window than the other 64 hardtops.

I clicked on that link. Seeing as I'm in Australia too, it shows the international shipping cost as US$41.04 using the Global Link program. (Whatever that is???)

Sounds like a good deal to me.
