Not too many frontmen from the 90's left anymore. I wonder what the life expectancy is of a musician in the music industry? They sure don't seem last as long. Sad.

Heard about this on my way to work this morning - couldn't believe it; sad. He did have a great voice & could play guitar as well. Loved his work in Soundgarden, Audioslave and Temple of the Dog. 52 is too young - RIP.

I read that he may have taken his own life. Apparently investigators found some evidence at the scene that may indicate a suicide.

Sad here as well - a lot of heartache in Seattle.

WHAT!?

that makes NO sense what so ever....

I found out about this earlier today, and I'm not going to lie, it has me bummed out.

I am grateful that I was able to see them once (2011; Badmotofinger 20th Ann tour) - to date, that was the only opportunity for me to see them.
I was out of town the prior time they had a tour that stopped here.

I wonder if, assuming that is legit, it will come out as a Carradine-death

The video of him singing "Redemption Song" with his daughter is a tough one.

Thanks, Chris, for all the music that got me through the tough times. I was young, broke and disenfranchised. But finally I had music that I felt was my own, for my generation. I had seem him a couple of times and was amazed at his vocal prowess live. Especially when they brought it down and he did acoustic versions of songs like "Fell on black days"

Sadly, depression is not always recognizable and therefore hard to diagnose. And treatment... Anyone that has had someone close to them suffer from depression can tell you that it's hit and miss at best. And the meds can make you feel so screwed up that even your original state looks better.

Hopefully medical science will make some advancements for treating this disease that afflicts so many.

to have been at the show, watching him perform, and then to know the outcome just a couple hours later must seem so surreal.
