Mystery A body radio
I found a weird A body radio that doesn't look like the usual ones I see in Lemans cars. My trolling across eBay to look at Chevelles, Cutlass, Buicks has been useless as well. I have an AM FM ac delco radio with stereo but no Am FM switch at the top, instead you select AM FM buttons like on a 1972 car. Here is a pic of it. What did this come out of? There is no paper tag unfortunately, otherwise I'd be able to figure it out. Anyone seen this unit before?

Doesn't look like any A-body radio I've seen. Looks more like something out of a budget priced Chevy Luv truck, or something like that.

Early Chevette?
I have seen them, but I don't remember what it was in.

I know it isn't a Chevy LUv truck. That was the first vehicle I thought of.
A Chevette? Will have to look into that. Never seen one of those on eBay... |

Steve P won that round. I just happened to find a Chevette AM/FM stereo radio on eBay this morning and its identical. I'm seriously thinking of robbing the hardware and buttons from it to convert a 1972 A body plain jane radio to the required AM/FM Stereo unit my LeMans came with from the factory. Anytime one of those comes up the price knocks me on my butt.
