Default Howdy...just signed up

Howdy. I recently acquired a 1972 Ventura and stumbled across this site trying to learn all I can about the car. Here are some pics:

It came with no engine, transmission, or front seats. I have a nicely built 350 with a th-400 to go in it and I have a pair of bucket seats out on an 86 suburban I want to try and fit in there...just have to figure out how to make them tilt forward so passengers can get in the back seat. A friend of mine ran the VIN and it was originally a 6 cylinder car. It's rusted thru on the driver side floor pan and driver side quarter panel around the wheel arch. My plans right now are to get it going reliably and fix it up/ upgrade it as money allows.

looks like a real good starting point are you going to put in a 350 pontiac motor?

Thanks! I've been kinda obsessed with trying to figure out what I'm going to do to it to get it going. I don't have much of a budget to play with which make things difficult, but I need the car running so I have a back up vehicle.

I'm wanting to put a pontiac engine in it, but for now it will have a chevy engine. I have a nicely built chevy 350 with about 50,000 miles on it that I'm going to use to get it going. Eventually, when I can afford it I want to find a pontiac engine.
