I have a 67 gto that has already been restored but the budy bushing,s are looking old and cracked I am wanting to upgrade to poly-bushing,s and I am wondering how hard is it to install and what do I have to do. can I simply remove the bolt,s a jack the body enough to remove the old bushing,s and install new or is it a much more involved process.

I just finished removing the body mounts off my 66 GTO, after soaking them with wd40, most of them came off pretty good, I had to cut number 5 off on both sides. Body lifted right off. I would definetly get the GTO Restoration Guide, it shows how the mounts go on properly.

Did mine by soaking as best as possible jacking up one side and removing all the bolts (lucky) lifting the body off the frame with a nother jack and a 4x4 just enough to get them out and putting it back together. Don't lift it more than you have to. SEARCH THE ARCHIVES.
