Default Firebird power brake booster inside

Hey guys ....
I bought an new power brake booster for my 77 Firebird ...
My old stock is leaking at rear ....

The new one arrives and i compared vs the old one and i saw that the center plastic shaft leading is broken during transport ...**** !

I`m from germany and return it to US is half of price of the new part.

So here`s my question:
Can i swap the broken plastic leading of the shaft from my old Stock PB in my new Power Booster ?
I know i can open the case with turning it ...but don`t know if i can reuse the gaskets a second time and all the things ..
Any idea if this will work to swp the black plastic leading ....?
Thx , Bjoern

I don't know.
My question is- the seller won't cover damage during shipping? Did you look into this? I hope it works out for you.

Default power booster Firebird swap rebuilding

Today i spent some time to open my old 77 Firebird power booster and a new damaged one where the black plastic leading for the pinionshaft was broken during transport to Germany.
I build an special tool to turn the old case open and i could see howe the booster is build inside ...easy to do!!!
The black broken plastic is easy to swap ...an clamp hold it into place and it`s easy to loose with an screw rider ...so you can remove the black plastic leading for the shaft ...i reused my old plastic shaft leading from my old booster ...
Amazing to see how bad the modern remake boosters are ..thin material ..not to compare with the old original GM booster cases ..the best way would be to buy a new booster ..open it and reuse your old booster case with putting in the new inside parts ...!!!
here`s some pics ..
hope i can somebody help with, because you find nothing about it in the world wide web !!
