Default GTO Judge on Ebang

"Rarest RAIV Judge ever built" (Ok, if he says so?) "I would like this car to go to a private collection" (What does he care?)

Hmm..Some ppl do not understand the principle of an auction..Starting at $100k and he includes the mention of no reserve??? Better off starting a bit lower and putting a reserve...Let me guess..No one will bid on this one...He put the contested tune-up sticker too (but on the shroud)...

Wow, never knew those RAIV Exh Manifolds were so close to Oil filter...

This is interesting as when he listed it before it got up to $150,000 with reserve NOT met, and now there is no reserve and starts @ 100,000. ????????

Very Nice car, If I only won the Lottery as I would buy this car in a second if I had the cash.

The fact that a car like this exists would mean it must have a very interesting history? IMO, not many people ordered a RA IV Judge just on a whim, and add a 4-speed with Crystal Turquoise makes it out as a very unique 69 Judge.

Love to know more about this one as it has to be one car you wouldn't forget seeing on the road or at the track over the years. Very cool car!

If it's so special, why can't the seller write more than one paragraph about it? And the seller in not new to Ebay, he has over 300 transactions under his belt.

Why is it that you can spot those repro rad support fillers from a MILE away? I HATE them! I can't get over how cheap they look. My original is cracked in half and it's going back on the car instead of that cheap garbage.

Are you talking about the bumper to rad support filler or Rad shroud? If the latter, They are not repro but GM made (using a new mold)..I ordered one for my conv a few years back and actually had them return and order me a new one (as the finish was so bad compared to the originals, not to mention missing part of the hose protector on one side and the top where rubber insulator fits, is shorter)...New one they ordered was just as bad...I guess it's a cheap mold they have now..Still was better than my original that was cracked and dulled/dried over the years...Bumper filler is also not that great (especially the fit)...Mine was missing on conv so I had no choice but to order that too...

I agree. I don't understand why an exact one cannot be made. There is also a small original baffle under my Ram Air III Judge made of the same material. They look ok, but it would be nice to have a perfect one.

That's the one that went through eBay a little over two years ago - from Arizona or New Mexico at that time. Complete running/driving project with SR IV engine and solid body. I was surprised when it went for something in the upper 20's/lower 30's, back then - seemed like a low price.

By seeing what he is selling lately - would love to see what he is keeping !

I've got that same baffle...well, I have 7/8's of it. One side's missing. I haven't seen it in awhile, but I can picture the orange overspray all over it. I better track it down in the piles, thanks for reminding me!

robz, no, not the shroud, it's that rad support to nose filler. Edges are too sharp on the repros, holes are not correct for the nose adjustment, finish is too dull, it lays too flat. it just calls too much attention to itself.

Supposedly he's got 2 69 RA IV TA's - or is that his brother now?

If you buy the car you better give the engine block a tap with a hammer, I see he has been buying plastic fullsize replica blocks! They can't last to many miles given combustion heat and pressure!! Nice and light though, no need for an engine hoist.

It seems that most 1969 Ram Air owners don't know about the lower baffle--I guess most are missing.

Also, the repo filler is too stiff and made of the wrong material.

These 2 pieces would seem easy to repo exactly.

It reached 150k the last auction, but he will take 100k this time? I guess we all fell just off the turnip truck.

The lower baffle was not generally used on RA cars (366hp). It was part of the HD cooling package. Therefore it was found on the following cars: all AC cars, all RA IV cars (due to mandatory gearing), any car ordered with 3.90 or 4.33 gears, any other car ordered with HD cooling. This option also included baffles that blocked the frame rail openings in the rad support as well as a 4 core rad.

The shifter handle does look odd but i think it is the right one, the combination of buckets and no console makes it look out of place since we are used to looking at the bench shifter when no console is present.

The baffle did come on my 366 hp Judge. It is a 4-speed pattern built in Baltimore in Jan. There is no rear end option--must be 3:55 and no HD cooling option. Odd.

My info comes from the assembly manual and the parts manual. Also 25 years in the hobby and dozens of 69 GTO's under my belt confirm it. However anything is possible, could be a production error or simply someone added it during a resto, they do look nice on the car, hides all the greasy stuff under the car. Does your car have any of the other components of the HD cooling; clutch fan, 4 core, frame opening baffles?
